The registered unemployment rate in Croatia for April was 17.9 per cent, down 0.5 percentage points from March, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
The March registered unemployment rate of 18.4 per cent was the highest in more than four years.
Year-on-year, registered unemployment last April was up 3.1 per cent from April 2009.
At the end of April 2010, 308,675 persons were registered as unemployed with the Croatian Employment Service, down 3.1 per cent on the month and up 17 per cent on the year.
