Ivo Sanader, Croatia's former Prime Minister and now an independent member of parliament, on Wednesday walked out of parliament shortly before the start of a debate on a proposal from the Social Democratic Party to give Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor a vote of no confidence.
Sanader told reporters that he could not attend because he had to take a trip. "Even if I could stay, I couldn't imagine toppling the majority I helped establish," Sanader said.
