Vice president of the parliamentary Home Policy and National Security Committee Igor Dragovan (SDP) on Wednesday claimed that a report by the Office of the National Security Council concerning the inspection of phone records arrived in the committee's office on Tuesday. If Tomislav Karamarko (HDZ) who is a member of the council saw the report before that as he claims, then he did so in contradiction to procedure, Dragovan said.
"If it's true that Karamarko got the report before Tuesday then someone gave it to him contrary to procedure", Dragovan told journalists in Parliament house.
Dragovan said that the committee president, Miroslav Tudjman (HDZ), requested the report on Monday and that it arrived on Tuesday. Another report arrived on Wednesday. These are regular reports that are received by the president and prime minister. The committee gets the report if it requests so.
Asked how he interpreted Karamarko's claims that he had seen the report the same day as the president and prime minister, Dragovan said that this was easy to check and repeated that the Committee received the report on Tuesday and that only then did he get to see the report.
