The Slovenian Constitutional Court on Thursday finished a session on the Slovenia-Croatia arbitration agreement inconclusively, and it is still not known when the court's decision on the matter can be expected.
The Constitutional Court ended the session on Thursday afternoon making no decision on whether the arbitration agreement was in line with the Constitution or not, said the court's secretary-general, Erik Kersevan.
The next court meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, but its agenda is not made public, the Slovenian news agency (STA) reported.
Prime Minister Borut Pahor declined to comment on the outcome of today's session.
Pahor and his Croatian counterpart Jadranka Kosor inked the arbitration deal in Stockholm on 4 November and Croatia's parliament ratified the document later that month.
The Slovenian government launched the procedure in the Constitutional Court at the end of 2009. The procedure for the ratification of the agreement in the Slovenian parliament cannot be initiated before the adoption of the relevant ruling in the Constitutional Court.
The opposition in Slovenia insists on a referendum on the matter.
