UNICEF Croatia has continued its Stop Violence Among Children campaign, launched seven years ago, by posting billboards throughout the country promoting non-violence at stadiums, in politics, media, and families.
While the purpose of the campaign seven years ago was to raise awareness of the problem of peer violence, its aim today is to encourage citizens and companies to make their personal contribution to the fight against peer violence.
In combating violence, tangible results have been achieved in cooperation with more than 150 schools carrying the title of Violence-Free School, where the violence among children has been halved. However, it is not possible to sustain or expand these results without the involvement of society at large, the head of the UNICEF Croatia office, Lora Vidovic, said on Thursday.
