Croatia's best athlete Blanka Vlasic on Saturday won the silver in the high jump event at the world athletics championships in Daegu, Korea, while the gold went to Anna Chicherova of Russia.
Both Vlasic and Chicherova cleared 2.03 metres but the latter made it in the first attempt and the former in the second attempt which was why the Croatian athlete finished the competition as the second-ranked.
Antonietta Di Martino of Italy won the bronze clearing 2.00.
Vlasic was the winner of the previous world championships in Berlin.
