The average net wage for employees of companies in Zagreb this January amounted to 6,119 kuna and 119 kuna lower adjusted for the so-called and now defunct 3.1% 'solidarity tax' for a total 5,928 kuna, say figures from the Statistics Department at the Municipal Office for Strategic Planning and Urban Development
The average net wage in Zagreb for January of 6,119 kuna (not including the special tax) was nominally 133 kuna lower for a 2.1% drop compared to December of 2009.
Zagreb's average salary recorded a yearly drop of 66 kuna for a 1.1% decrease.
The lowest net wages in Zagreb for this January was 3,107 kuna in clothing production, followed by the 3,311 kuna in building and landscape maintenance, 3,314 kuna in the production of non-metal mineral products, 3,425 for security and research businesses, 3,487 in wood processing and so on.
The highest net salaries recorded were in management - management consulting services posted a net average of 13,673 kuna and 11,503 kuna for market research.
