Zoran Milanovic was re-elected President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) at the party's presidential election held on Saturday, SDP secretary-general Igor Dragovan announced in the evening after 51 per cent of ballots were counted. Milanovic was the only candidate for the post.
"I thank all the people who went to the polls, at which they actually did not choose. I had the fortune and pleasure of SDP people giving me their trust for another four years and, in a way, extending my term in office. Thank you for that," Milanovic said.
