The protest rally organised by the civil movement 15.O in Zagreb's Trg Bana Jelacica square on Saturday afternoon ended in the evening with the protestors deciding to meet again in the central square next Saturday.
Citizens will be able to propose topics to be discussed at the next rally via social networks.
Only some 200 people gathered for today's rally, much fewer than last Saturday, when several thousand people rallied in the square to protest against neo-liberal capitalism.
The protestors today discussed further actions and demands made at last week's rally, most of which are directed against global corporations, neo-liberal capitalism and the incumbent government.
Speakers at the rally criticised the irresponsible behaviour of corrupt elites, demanding a more just distribution of budgetary funds, more frequent referendums, and the reform of the health and pension systems. Some called for boycotting the products of business magnate Ivica Todoric.
The Croatian movement 15.O is part of a global movement in some 100 countries which calls for putting an end to the power of big business and for greater participation of people in decision-making.
Last Saturday, protests against neo-liberal capitalism were held in around 1,000 cities in some 80 countries.
