The chairwoman of the national committee monitoring Croatia's EU entry talks, Vesna Pusic, on Monday received members of the Austrian-Croatian friendship group in the Austrian parliament who supported Croatia's aspirations to wrap up its EU membership negotiations in June, the Croatian parliament's public relations office said in a statement.
The head of the friendship group, Oswald Klikovits, underlined that he fully supported Croatia on its path to the EU, saying that he appreciated the efforts Croatia was making to end the negotiations by the end of June, the statement said.
Pusic briefed the Austrian parliamentarians about the work of the national committee monitoring Croatia's EU entry talks and its role in the negotiating process.
She also briefed them about the current state of the negotiations, underlining that Croatia needed to close five more chapters so that the negotiations could be wrapped up by the end of June, the statement said.
