Unofficial reports say that the courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided to extradite Croatian war veteran and Vukovar defender Tihomir Purda to Serbia. The Bosnian court confirmed for the Croatian news agency HINA that its ruling would be made official sometime today after it is delivered to the prosecution and to Purda’s defense, while unofficial reports claim that the ruling is affirmative for Purda’s extradition to Serbia
The Bosnian court spokeswoman Selma Hadzic stated that it cannot be known how the court has ruled, but HINA unofficially reports that the court had ruled in favor of Purda’s extradition to Serbia.
Purda’s attorney Josip Muselimovic stated on Friday morning for HINA how he has not yet received anything from the court, but stated that if the ruling does allow for his client’s extradition to Serbia that he will launch an appeal at the Appeals Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the legal window.
Tihomir Purda was arrested on January 5th in Bosnia and Herzegovina on a Serbian arrest warrant charging him with war crimes against prisoners of war and defenseless persons.
