President of Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) Federation entity, Zivko Budimir has not been arrested however the police are currently searching his office in Sarajevo, Budimir's media advisor Laura Bosnjak reported on Friday afternoon.
Leaving the Federation entity's government building Bosnian Prosecutor Oleg Cavka confirmed to reporters that a probe in a case of fighting corruption was underway, adding that the prosecution would release more information about the case at 5 pm.
Local media reported that Budimir is being investigated for bribery to pardon persons convicted of grave crimes.
A press release from the prosecutor's office said that a probe was being conducted into possible corrupt acts committed by the highest officials in the Bosnian Federation entity.
Earlier on Friday, local media had reported that Budimir had been arrested, citing unofficial reports .
