The Croatia Airlines (CA) management on Friday reported that it would continue with the procedures of terminating employment for 42 cabin crew staffers, who recently went abruptly on sick leave, despite the fact that the Croatian Health Insurance Agency (HZZO) confirmed that all the sick leaves were medically justified after the company had requested a formal investigation of the causes for the sick leave and of the doctors who had authorised the sick leave requests.
The management persists in its claims that the fact that 25% of cabin crew members applied for sick leaves within a period of 48 hours should be interpreted as their unlawfully-staged disguised strike.
All major trade union federations have raised their voice against the procedure which the CA management launched to dismiss the workers.
