Croatia and Bulgaria recognised in a joint statement on Tuesday Libyan National Transitional Council, saying that it was capable of leading the building of a democratic Libya founded on the rule of law and respecting the highest international human rights standards, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Croatia and Bulgaria, as allies within NATO, fully supported the international community's operation and took part in joint efforts aimed at immediately responding to the crisis in Libya.
Croatia and Bulgaria welcome the National Transitional Council's "Vision of a democratic Libya", support the vision of a new Libya and are ready to help the Council build capacities for assuming obligations and maintaining the rule of law, the press release said.
Zagreb and Sofia also believe the National Transitional Council can continue closely cooperating with the international community with a view to reinforcing regional stability.
