It is a lie that Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor "has Branimir Glavas's papers on her desk", the Croatian government's public relations office said in a statement on Wednesday in reaction to, as the government said, untruths stated at a news conference called by representatives of the HDSSB regional party.
"The issuing of personal documents, including passports, is not dealt with by the prime minister but by the relevant ministry. Such statements, equally ridiculous and vicious, are clearly in the function of cheap politicking and we most resolutely refute them," the statement said.
