The State Protection and Rescue Service (DUZS) has reported about damage caused in several counties on Thursday by a heavy rain and strong winds. Some areas were hit by a hailstorm.
Firefighters were on the ground, pumping water out of houses and basements and removing trees knocked down on roads by the storm. Some areas were left without electricity.
The bad weather hit Krapina-Zagorje County, Zagreb County and the city of Zagreb, Bjelovar-Bilogora County, Koprivnica-Krizevci County, and Karlovac County.
