The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) will achieve much better results than indicated by polling reports and media headlines in the past several days, Miroslav Tudjman told reporters in Zagreb on Saturday.
Asked if the polls on the ratings of political parties were realistic Tudjman, who is an HDZ candidate in Constituency No. 1, said that when polls showed Social Democratic Party's (SDP) unfavourable ratings, an investigation was launched into the HDZ.
"Obviously something like this is not realistic, because Croatian voters are not utterly left as the Opposition coalition is," Tudjman said.
Asked about the election results and his expectations in Constituency No. 1, Tudjman said it was too early to say anything.
Parliamentary elections in Croatia are scheduled for 4 December.
