A spokesperson for the Croatian Ministry of the Interior said on Sunday that the ministry had exchanged information with Serbian authorities regarding the 1994 murder of Serbian journalist Radislava Vujasinovic and that on the basis of that information, a request would be made to question Dragan Paravinja, whom the Croatian media link with the death of the Serbian journalist.
Serbian State Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac on Saturday responded to reports in the Croatian media, saying that Serbian prosecutors would send as soon as possible an official request to investigative bodies in Croatia to question Paravinja in connection with Vujasinovic's death.
Paravinja, a truck driver linked with the disappearance of 17-year-old Antonia Bilic and two rape cases, is currently in the custody of the Sibenik County Court.
"This will be an opportunity to again question Paravinja about some other cases as well. A new questioning in the case of the missing Antonia Bilic is in the hands of the investigating judge in charge of the case," said Helena Biocic of the Ministry of the Interior public relations department.
Radislava Vujasinovic, a reporter of the Serbian Duga weekly, was known for reporting about links between criminal circles and politicians. She was found dead in her apartment in 1994. After an investigation, it was stated that she committed suicide.
