Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Drazen Kutlesa, a priest from the Mostar Diocese in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, as Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Porec and Pula, according to a statement from the Apostolic Nunciature in Croatia, published by the press office of the Croatian Bishops' Conference (HBK) on Monday.
The 43-year-old Kutlesa earned a doctoral degree in canon law from the the Pontifical Urbaniana University in 2001. In 2006, he joined the Congregation for Bishops and since 2011 he has been a collaborator of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. He speaks Italian, German and English.
