Parl't speaker well after sphenoidal sinus surgery

After a successful endoscopic decompression of the sphenoidal sinus, the condition of Parliament Speaker Boris Sprem is improving, his office said in a statement on Saturday.

Histological findings of the removed tissue point to a local relapse, so treatment has been started for multiple myeloma with local radiation of the sphenoidal sinus, the statement said, adding that Sprem was expected to be released from hospital to continue treatment at home soon.

Sprem is in contact with other state officials and parliament's services.

He underwent surgery in Zagreb on Thursday.
