Pope Benedict XVI will be on a pastoral visit to Croatia on 4-5 June 2011, the Croatian Bishops' Conference said in a statement on Tuesday, following an agreement with the Croatian president and the government.
The pontiff will visit Zagreb on the occasion of the national meeting of young Catholic families. On that occasion he will say a prayer at the grave of Beatified Alozije Stepinac, the Bishops' Conference said,
The national meeting of Catholic families and pope's visit will be held under the slogan "Together in Christ".
The programme of the Holy Father's visit will be released at a later date, the statement said.
