Thousands of volunteers, including public figures such as Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, are taking part on Saturday in Green Cleanup, the biggest environmental campaign aimed at cleaning up wild waste disposal sites in Croatia.
Green Cleanup campaign leader in Croatia Helena Traub said that wild dumping sites would be cleaned in all counties, namely in some 150 cities and municipalities throughout Croatia.
The Green Cleanup - One Day for Clean Environment campaign is held as part of the global movement "Let's do it!" and global campaign "World Cleanup 2013". So far, 96 countries have joined the "Let's do it!" movement.
