A vice president of the Croatian People's Party (HNS), Vesna Pusic, has said the new Croatian government will be a serious partner to Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that Croatia will have no hidden agenda in its relationship with Bosnia.

"Bosnia can count on Croatia as a serious partner who doesn't have a hidden agenda," Pusic said in an interview with the Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily, which hit the newsstands on Tuesday.

She stressed that the preservation of Bosnia's stability was in the interest of Croatia and the entire region.

"We are prepared to take part in all forms of dialogue which will openly address the most efficient way for Bosnia to make progress on its path to the European Union, which is also a path to building its own state," Pusic said.

Asked how the new Croatian government would treat the Croats living in Bosnia, Pusic said it was important to accept the fact that Croats are a constituent people who must be represented in Bosnian state bodies based on the parity principle.

"The only right way to create conditions in Bosnia is for all three people to function together. I agree this cannot be solved overnight," Pusic said.
