Sanader considering possibility of suing Croatian media

Former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader is considering legal action against Croatian media for encroaching upon his privacy, Austrian lawyer Werner Suppan, who represents Sanader, was quoted by the Austrian news agency APA as saying on Monday,

Suppan confirmed the announcement made by Sanader's Zagreb lawyer Goran Suic that he would not sue the judicial authorities in Salzburg over photos showing Sanader in his prison cell in Salzburg, which have been published by Croatian media.

However, a possibility of taking legal action against Croatian media is being considered due to their violation of Sanader's privacy.

The former Croatian premier in being held in detention in Salzburg awaiting extradition to Croatia, which wants him in connection with allegations of corruption.
