Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Bozidar Kalemta on Tuesday dismissed Josip Sapunar from the managing board of the motorway construction and maintenance company Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) after he was suspected of financial wrongdoing in connection with the private marketing firm Fimi Media.
Sapunar was released from investigative custody last week.
Kalmeta did not appoint a successor to Sapunar.
Given that other executives -- Jurica Prskalo and Mario Lovrincevic -- are still in pre-trial detention on suspicion of malfeasance in the company, the HAC managing board is reduced to one member, namely board president Stjepko Boban.
