Two Croatian Air Force MiG-21 aircraft crashed during a military exercise on Thursday, the Defence Ministry confirmed.
"Both pilots ejected and are well. They have contacted the Air Force Command," Defence Ministry spokesman Goran Grosinic said. He would not discuss details of the accident.
The accident occurred shortly before 1pm at the Eugen Kvaternik training ground outside Slunj, about 80 kilometres south of Zagreb.
