The U.S. State of Secretary, Hillary Clinton, arrived in Sarajevo shortly before 2000 hrs Monday, and she was welcomed by Bosnia and Herzegovina's Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija at the local airport.
During her day-long visit to Sarajevo, Mrs. Clinton will be joined by the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton.
On Tuesday morning, the two are expected to hold talks with the international community's High Representative to Bosnia, Austrian diplomat Valentin Inzko and the EU envoy Peter Sorensen.
Clinton and Ashton will also be received by Bosnia's top officials and after that they will fly to Belgrade for a visit to Serbia on Tuesday afternoon.
The visit of Clinton and Ashton to Sarajevo comes at the time when Bosnia is faced with the deepest political crisis since the end of the 1992-1995 war.
