Activists of two civil society associations on Thursday accused the Interior Ministry of facilitating businessman Tomislav Horvatincic's efforts to implement Hoto Group's project in Varsavska Street in downtown Zagreb.
One of activists, who rallied in front of the ministry building in Zagreb today, told a news conference in front of the ministry building that they had come to "thank to the Croatian state institutions on behalf of Tomislav Horvatincic for enabling him to earn EUR 50 million in profit".
They also accused the police of procrastinating an investigation into Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic, whom they accused of abuse of office and of conclusion of detrimental agreements concerning Varsavska Street.
They said that they had initiated the investigation four months ago but the police had not made any report on what they were doing in this respect.
