A huge anti-corruption operation in the health system launched by the national anti-corruption office USKOK was underway on Monday but the office would not release any details announcing that it would issue a press release later in the day.
Media reports state that the management team of the "Farmal" pharmaceutical company, based in the northern Croatian town of Ludbreg, were being questioned by the anti-corruption office.
Reports further note that USKOK has been investigating about 500 doctors and that 50 could be charged with accepting bribes.
