The average net salary in Croatia for April was HRK 5,246, down 2.1 per cent in nominal terms and 2.5 per cent in real terms from March, according to figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Thursday.
Year on year, the average net salary for April was 0.9 per cent lower in nominal terms and 1.5 per cent in real terms.
The DZS said that net wages were reduced by 2.8 per cent on average as a result of a special tax.
The highest average net salary of HRK 10,782 was paid to people in managerial and advisory positions, while the lowest average net salary of HRK 2,750 was paid to textile workers.
