The average net monthly salary for June was HRK 5,415, a nominal increase of 2.6 per cent from May, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Friday (EUR 1 = HRK 7.26).
The increase is most probably the result of changes in the income tax system and the cancellation of the so-called crisis tax, which amounted to two percent for salaries between 3,000 and 6,000 kuna.
The net monthly salary for June was 0.8 per cent higher in nominal terms than the average net salary for June 2009.
The average gross monthly salary for June was HRK 7,663, up 1.3 per cent in nominal terms from May and 0.6 per cent from June 2009.
