Belgrade's High Court has turned down the appeal by Ratko Mladic's lawyer filed against the court's decision that he can be transferred to the war crimes tribunal in The Hague, court spokeswoman Dusica Ristic told press on Tuesday.
Ristic said the decision rejecting the appeal would be delivered to the Justice Ministry, which is to adopt a final decision and order Mladic's extradition.
The appeal arrived at the court this morning. Mladic was arrested in Serbia on Thursday after hiding from the Hague tribunal for 16 years. On Friday, the court ruled he could be extradited to the UN court.
Mladic is expected to be transferred to The Hague after Justice Minister Snezana Malovic signs the extradition order, but the time of the transfer will not be revealed for security reasons, the authorities said.
