Prosecutors in Bosnia and Herzegovina said on Friday evening that the President of the Croat-Muslim Federation, Zivko Budimir, and some other persons had been arrested for alleged involvement in bribe-taking.
Among those arrested were the chairman of the Federation's parliamentary parole commission, Hidajet Halilovic, and Budimir's advisor, Petar Barisic.
Prosecutor Oleg Cavka said earlier on Friday that an anti-corruption probe was underway. Local media reported that Budimir was being investigated for bribery to pardon persons convicted of grave crimes.
