The coalition of the Pensioners' Bloc, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance, the Croatian Workers' Party and professor Ljubo Jurcic who heads all its slates presented its platform and prominent members at a news conference in Zagreb on Monday.

Jurcic said that at the forthcoming parliamentary election, set for 4 December, it was necessary to ensure political change.

The main goal of this coalition is to change the existing economic policy by giving priority to industrial and regional policies that would be followed up with appropriate fiscal and monetary policies.

Asked whether he was ready to form a coalition with the four-party opposition coalition led by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) if they came to power, Jurcic said that the condition for their future cooperation would be that the SDP-led coalition embrace the first five points of his coalition's 10-point platform.

The SDP-led coalition should accept our economic and social goals, he added.
