The Croatian Armed Forces Chief of Staff, General Josip Lucic, and his associates on Wednesday paid a working visit to Serbia and held talks with the Serbian Army Chief of Staff Miloje Miletic, in the northwestern town of Karadjordjevo.

According to a statement from the Croatian Defence Ministry, the talks focused on the promotion of bilateral military cooperation and the participation of the two armies in multilateral activities organised in Croatia and Serbia.

The two officials also agreed that the key point of cooperation between the armed forces of Croatia and Serbia would be basic and specialised training for military personnel of the two countries.

Cooperation between the two armies is based on a defence cooperation agreement, the statement said.
