Croatian national team players Darijo Srna and Eduardo da Silva are the highest paid footballers in the Ukrainian league according to the Ukrainian press who have put the two at the very top of their highest earners top ten list
Shakhtar Donetsk captain Darijo Srna is a hero in the coal mining town and a special favorite of club chairman Rinat Ahmetov, who values his top player at €4 million per season. And nobody really comes close to that sum.
Closest is Srna's club and national teammate, former Arsenal man Eduardo da Silva. Eduardo brings in one million less than his compatriot with a salary of €3 million per season.
The Ukrainian league's third highest earner is legendary hitman Andriy Shevchenko, who earns €2.5 million bagging goals for Dinamo Kiev.
Shakhtar Donetsk has three more players on the list - Fernandinho and Dmytro Chygrynskiy earn €2 million while Jádson earns €1.5 million, as much as Sevastopol's Mariusz Lewandowsky.
The Top 10 is closed by Dinamo Kiev's Artem Milevskiy who earns €1.4 million, Dnipro's Selezniyev at €1.2 and Metalist's Cleiton Xavier at an even €1 million.
