This year, the campaign is held under the slogan "Beyond the Hour" throughout the world,
In Croatia, the lighting was switched off at Dubrovnik's Walls, Split's Diocletian Palace, Pula's Arena amphitheatre, Zadar's Forum, Osijek's Walls and at landmarks of Varazdin, Hvar, Opatija, Buje, Makarska, etc, one of the ambassadors for this action in Croatia, actress Zrinka Cvitesic, said at Cvjetni Square in Zagreb.
The project head in Croatia, Petra Boic-Petrac, said that the purpose of the campaign was to show that small steps and actions could help reduce our imprint on the environment.
A minute of silence for victims of the recent disastrous earthquake and tsunami in Japan was observed at the start of this evening's action in downtown Zagreb.
