EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele said on Monday the European Commission will immediately start drawing up an opinion on Serbia's membership application, adding that in the next several weeks an extensive questionnaire would be forwarded to Belgrade, which is the first step in the process of drawing up the opinion.
EU foreign ministers agreed on Monday to ask the bloc's executive commission for an opinion on Serbia's membership application, a procedural step in the long accession process and one on which Serbia has been waiting for ten months.
