Croatia's Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusic on Wednesday did not wish to confirm or deny reports in the press that the dispute over the now defunct Ljubljanska Banka would be resolved within the package of issues relating to the succession of the former Yugoslavia, repeating that the public would be informed soon enough about the solution to the twenty odd-year long dispute between Croatia and Slovenia.
"Don't believe everything the media reports. Everything will be explained when a final agreement between Croatia and Slovenia is defined, and that will be soon", said Pusic, responding to journalists who asked her to comment on an article in the Vecernji List daily that the LB issue was being put back within the framework of succession to the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY).
"Before that, I cannot comment on not one element", she added at a press conference after holding talks withe Danish Minister for European Affairs, Nicolai Halby Wammen.
At their meeting in Slovenia on 6 February, Pusic and her Slovenian counterpart Karl Erjavec came up with a solution to this long standing problem but said that they could not reveal the content of their deal to the public until their respective governments gave their approval.
If the solution is given the go ahead by the two governments, the two ministers will meet again on February 19, in Zagreb.
