The national broadcaster (HRT) programmes council on Wednesday appointed Hloverka Srzic Novak as the acting programmes director of the Croatian Television (HTV).
The appointment of Novak Srzic followed after her predecessor Domagoj Buric resigned for health reasons.
The proposal by the HTV acting director Mislav Stipic for the appointment of Novak Srzic was described by two programmes council members -- Sanja Modric and Marina Skrabalo -- as cynical and impudent and they also tendered their resignation.
After that the remaining six council members at the session unanimously appointed Novak Srzic as the acting HTV programmes director.
The council also decided to invite bids for this position.
