The Croatian National Bank (HNB) on Monday intervened on the foreign exchange market by selling EUR 238.9 million at the average exchange rate of HRK 7.465038 for one euro, the central bank reported.
This is the HNB's first intervention on the foreign exchange market this year.
With today's transaction, the central back collected HRK 1.78 billion.
The bank said it expected the intervention to reduce growth of the euro exchange rate.
The kuna/euro exchange rate today was HRK 7.459950 to EUR 1.
