The Jazz.hr/Spring Festival is to be held from March 18 - 21 in the Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall with reputable Croatian and foreign musicians and a presentation of new talents on Croatia's jazz scene.
This will the 23rd edition of the jazz festival and will continue over four nights with six programme units and 18 artists performing.
The star of this year's festival is America's legendary Ron Carter who will open the event, the festival's director Antun Tomislav Saban told a press conference on Thursday.
The opening night will also feature a trio of Croatia's leading jazzists Matija Dedic along with Harvie S and Gene Jackson which promises to be an exceptional musical experience, said Saban.
The festival will be closed on March 21 with the Ron Carter's "Golden Striker Trio" one of the greatest living jazz musicians who has recorded over 2000 records and jammed with some of the best known jazz musicians of the 20th century.
