Serbian President Boris Tadic's visit to the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar tomorrow will give new impetus to the development of good relations between Croatia and Serbia, Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said on Wednesday.
Tadic's visit has been planned together with the government from the start. Solid foundations have been laid as to what the visit is expected to accomplish and it will be an important political event, Josipovic said, stressing that "this is about symbolism, but symbolism that means a lot."
"I'm especially pleased that on the political scene there is a consensus in the ruling coalition and among the main opposition parties about the need for such a visit, which will be attended by members of a number of parties," said Josipovic.
