Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor has said that during her meeting with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy in Brussels on Friday she will discuss Croatia's cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal and that she expects Croatia's efforts to be acknowledged.
"We will address cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal (for the former Yugoslavia) and the assessment of the chief prosecutor that we are awaiting," Kosor said on Croatian Television on Thursday night.
"I believe that Croatia's efforts in this, presently perhaps the most delicate issue, will be acknowledged. We have done our best and, if there will be a chance, I will report about some details."
Kosor also said that after the positive outcome of a Slovenian referendum on border arbitration with Croatia, "there is no longer any obstacle" in Croatia's accession negotiations with the European Union.
