Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor has said that she sees Serbian President Boris Tadic's forthcoming visit to the Ovcara mass grave site outside Vukovar as an act of paying tribute to the victims of Vukovar.
"I see President Tadic's visit to the Ovcara mass grave site... and his paying tribute to Croatian soldiers and civilians, notably those from Vukovar, as an act of paying tribute to the victims of Vukovar," Kosor told Croatian Television on Tuesday evening.
Tadic will visit eastern Croatia on Thursday. Together with his host, Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, he will lay wreaths at Ovcara and Paulin Dvor, and meet in Vukovar with representatives of the families of Croats gone missing in the 1990s Homeland War and of the local Serb community, sources at the Office of the Croatian President confirmed on Tuesday.
