Croatian Ivica Kostelic finished as the second in the men's slalom event in Kitzbuehel, Austria on Sunday, while the winner was Frenchman Jean Baptiste Grange. Italian Giuliano Razzoli was the third in the race.

Kostelic was the winner of the combined event which included today's slalom and the downhill race skiers ran yesterday in Kitzbuehel.

Thus the best Croatian skier increased his lead on the World Cup's overall standings, as he mustered a total of 180 points from these two events this weekend.

Kostelic ranks first in the overall standings with 1030 points, and is followed by Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal (585 points.)

The Croatian is currently on the top of the slalom standing, too.
