Croatia's best skier Ivica Kostelic finished second in a men's World Cup Super-G event in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany, on Thursday, clocking in at 1:26.75 minutes, 39 hundredths of a second behind Eric Guay of Canada (1:26.36). Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal came third in 1:26.99.
On Wednesday, Kostelic was tenth in a downhill race with a time of 1:59.08, 63 hundredths of a second behind the winner, Carlo Janka of Switzerland.
Kostelic has advanced in the overall rankings to fifth place, 75 points ahead of sixth-placed Marcel Hirscher of Austria.
