Hungarian oil and gas group MOL has signed a long-term agreement worth 150 million euros with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to help finance the construction of a gas pipeline.
The 205 km long natural gas pipeline will run between the central Hungarian town of Varosfold and the Hungarian-Croatian border, Reuters news agency quoted MOL as saying on Monday.
"This will ... provide gas transit capacity from Hungary to Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Italy, and in reverse mode from Croatia to Hungary," MOL said.
