PlayStation Vita prvo će se pojaviti na Japanskom tržištu i to 12. prosinca ove godine, dok će se u ostatku svijeta pojaviti početkom sljedeće godine.

Sony je stoga otkrio sve hardverske komponente njihove nadolazeće konzole te otkrio da će baterija podnosisi 3-5 sati igranja, 5 sati gledanja filmova i do 9 sati slušanja glazbe. Punjenje prazne baterije trajati će 2.5h.
