It is apparent that the financial crisis and deep depression has brought much confusion amongst the populace, as recent polls show that 42% do not know who they would vote for if elections were to take place today
The GFK research agency conducted a poll for the RTL Television in Croatia on the popularity of parties in Croatia, and the results are quite surprising. On top is the Social Democrat Party (SDP) with 30%, while the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) would receive only 6.6%, RTL reports.
It is quite obvious that the current financial crisis in the country, as well as the deep depression, have caused plenty of confusion in the country as 42% still do not know who they would vote for if the elections were today.
The top-ranking politician in the country is currently President Ivo Josipovic.
As far as an election date are concerned, voters from all over the country would like for elections to be opened as soon as possible – especially in Zagreb and in Slavonija where anti-government reports have the greatest support.
